Dawson Street Cooks HillA friend recently pointed out to me how counter-productive gutters can be. The torrential rains we’ve had in the last couple of weeks have brought localised flooding. Today’s no exception.

Hard surfaces are a menace in more ways than one. And removing large trees, which soak up 30% of stormwater, is the approach of the moron municipal engineer/arborist. Imagine how much stormwater management will be provided by crepe myrtles. Home
