Draft proposal between NCC and Save Our Figs Inc before changes

by

Manna from heaven - the slight movement in these trees in the 2007 storm enabled 'experts' to convince the then council to allow sturdy healthy trees to be removed

Here is the draft  NON BINDING EXPERT EVALUATION AGREEMENT WITH SOF 17 10 11-1

The next two posts are the responses from Save Our Figs Inc.

TGIF.

Apparently lots of the art works were removed from the fences by Council today. What a shame. they have no idea about placemaking, do they?

I remember when we were asked to put in our ‘visions’ for Laman Street and the Civic precinct almost two years ago one of the things I thought would be nice was an outdoor exhibition space – how ironic that we ended up with a kilometre or so of fencing to hang paintings, photographs and slogans on.

I’ll write to Council and see what they’ve done with the items they took down.

They’ll be needed for the Museum – after all: there’s going to have to be a place in there about Saving the Laman St. fig trees, isn’t there?
