FALL-OUT CONTINUES FOLLOWING FIGS FIASCO

FALL-OUT CONTINUES FOLLOWING FIGS FIASCO.

People have been visiting Laman Street in a constant stream today. People of all ages and walks of life – this is an issue for all of the city.

The Council resolution of July 19th this year – to remove and replace the trees a soon as practical – is worth considering. How is it practical to put this town, its residents, its police, its Council employees, the tree workers and the fauna that live in these trees ‘practical’?

How sad to see the attitude of another politician that we should just ‘get on with it’. Newcastle voted Liberal for the first time in almost 100 years to give Mr Owen this seat. I was surprised that when he visited on Friday, he only visited the police command post. Disappointing. Home

oh & as someone pointed out on the facebook group , Tim Owen being an ex Defence Force person might have at least a moral obligation to ensure the Anzac memorial in Laman st was properly protected.
